Vegetables to sow in February

It’s still early in the year, and plenty of veg to sow! Are you unsure of which vegetables to sow in February? Dobies has over 140 varieties ready, you just have to decide what you want to grow!

With this many to choose from, we can offer a helping hand. You can sow veg outdoors in February - sow early varieties of carrot, such as Amsterdam Forcing, broad bean, and parsnip (under cloches or in a cold frame). Vegetables to sow in February also include shallot sets, which can also be planted out from the middle of the month.

Early varieties of potatoes should be chitted ready for planting towards the end of March and asparagus crowns can be ordered now – it is worth prepping early and having the sites where they are to grow ready on arrival.
