Pot up Chive plants and grow them on in warm, frost free conditions. When all risk of frost is passed and the soil is warm, harden off and plant out in their final positions. Grow Chives in full sun on any well drained soil. Add plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost to the soil to improve its structure and fertility prior to planting.
