Seed should not be sown before mid August in ¾" deep drills (shallow grooves) 15cm (6") apart on prepared seed beds outdoors. Set the resultant plants in rows 38cm (15") apart, with 30cm (12") between plants, during September and October. The cabbages will be ready for use the following spring.
