Growing pea 'Proval' from seed

Sow seeds in rows 20cm (8") apart directly into finely raked, moist, warm, weed-free soil, at a depth of 5cm (2"), and cover the seed lightly with soil. Germination usually takes 7–14 days. Gradually thin seedlings to 5cm (2") apart. This variety does not require any canes for support.

Growing Information

Sow seeds in rows 20cm (8") apart direct into finely raked, moist, warm, weed-free soil, at a depth of 5cm (2") and cover the seed lightly with soil. Germination usually takes 7–14 days. Gradually thin seedlings to 5cm (2") apart. This variety does not require any canes for support. If growing over winter or in early spring, protective fleece or cloches will be required. Make successional sowings for continuous crops. Can also be sown in small pots/modules and transplanted when 8–10cm tall.

Ideal for beds and borders, patio pots and containers, raised beds. Prefers full sun.
