What happens on the day? Bookings must be made via Hospitality Line (booking details available on voucher activation). Please do NOT call Warwick Castle direct. Simply present the entry voucher you will have received when you redeemed your gift experience at the ticket desk to gain entry. Your tickets allow access to the castle, grounds and to enjoy activities and entertainments which may be taking place on the day. You'll be free to spend as long as you like at the various places in the castle, subject to their opening times, but don't forget you've got an afternoon tea to enjoy! Your tea will be served in The Conservatory Tea House or another castle eatery, and include a round of sandwiches comprising of one quarter fresh salmon, one quarter chicken, one quarter cheese and one quarter ham, scones with jam and clotted cream, a selection of mini cakes and tarts and of course, a pot of tea of your choice. Please note that access to The Castle Dungeon is not included in your tickets; a limited number of Castle Dungeon tickets are available to purchase from the Central Courtyard Ticket Tent on the day, subject to availability and at additional cost.
Participant guidelines - Minimum age: 16 (under 18s need to be accompanied by a paying adult). Warwick Castle was built as a mediaeval fortress and as such has a number of steps, narrow passageways and low doorways which can present a challenge to guests with reduced mobility. The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary according to location
Availability - The last seating for afternoon tea is 15.30, as the castle closes at 17.00 (from July to 3 September 2017). On all other dates the last available time is 15.00. This experience is available on selected dates throughout the year. We recommend you book at least eight weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability. Please allow 2 to 3 hours to tour Warwick Castle plus 1 hour to enjoy your afternoon tea.
What should I wear? You should wear flat-soled shoes or boots and comfortable casual clothing suitable for the time of year and weather conditions.
Additional information - Please mention any dietary requirements at the time of booking. Gluten-free and vegetarians can be catered for if advised at the time of booking, unfortunately at this time vegan-friendly afternoon teas are not offered.
