Rudbeckia 'Summerdaisy's Orange Bicolour' is a stunning perennial that captivates garden enthusiasts with its eye-catching bicolour blooms. The flowers feature vibrant orange petals that beautifully contrast with a dark central cone, creating a striking visual appeal. This cultivar is particularly valued for its ability to bring a burst of color to gardens during the late summer and autumn months, making it a favorite among those looking to enhance their outdoor spaces. Additionally, its bright hues are not just for aesthetics; they serve to attract a variety of pollinators, including bees and butterflies, which are essential for a healthy garden ecosystem.

Blooming from mid-summer through early autumn, Rudbeckia 'Summerdaisy's Orange Bicolour' offers a prolonged display of color that can enliven any garden setting. It thrives best in full sun to partial shade, ensuring that it receives the light necessary for optimal flowering. The plant prefers well-drained, moderately fertile soil, which allows it to establish a robust root system. Once established, it demonstrates a commendable tolerance to drought, although regular watering will enhance its growth and flowering potential. This versatility makes it an excellent choice for various garden styles, including borders, cottage gardens, and pollinator-friendly planting schemes.

One of the standout features of this cultivar is its hardiness, as it can withstand typical winter conditions across most regions of the UK without requiring special protection. Maintenance is minimal, making it an ideal option for both novice and experienced gardeners. After the flowering period, cutting back the plant can encourage further blooms and maintain a tidy appearance. Additionally, the long-lasting nature of its flowers makes them suitable for cut arrangements, allowing gardeners to enjoy their beauty indoors as well. Overall, Rudbeckia 'Summerdaisy's Orange Bicolour' is a delightful addition to any garden, combining beauty, resilience, and ecological benefits. Height: 90 cm (35 in) Spread: 45 cm (18 in)

Pot up rudbeckia plants and grow them on in frost free conditions for transplanting outdoors later on. When plants are well-grown and all risk of frost has passed, acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days, before planting them outdoors in sun or partial shade. Rudbeckia enjoys a fertile, preferably heavy soil that is rich in organic matter and well drained. Coneflowers resent drought and dislike soils that dry out in summer.

Live Plants

Dobies strives to ensure that all its plants are delivered to you in the perfect condition for planting. While the majority of our nursery plants cope well with slight delays in intransit, sadly, the time it takes to deliver to certain locations in the UK means that we can't guarantee this for some of our smaller plug products and tender bedding and vegetable lines, which do not respond well to the extra journey time. So regretfully while we offer the majority of our live plant offering nationwide, we are unable to ship plugs, begging plants and tender vegetable plants to the following areas: HS, IV41-IV49, IV51, IV55-56, KW15-KW17, PA34, PA41-48, PA60-PA78, PA80, PH40-PH44, TR21-TR24, ZE1-ZE3.

Non Standard Deliveries

Unfortunately like many companies in our industry we are currently only able to supply orders to UK based customers, excluding those in Northern Ireland. We are committed to finding a way that we can resume or normal services again as soon as possible. Please accept our apologies for any inconvience caused.

Prices include VAT where applicable.

We reserve the right to contact you and advise an additional charge where necessary and are happy to quote for carriage of specific products to more remote areas. Some items may not be available to all areas.

We reserve the right to revise any carriage charges in the event of carrier price increase or other unforeseen circumstances. We will always advise of the carriage charge before payment is taken.
