Savour a bowl of delicious multicoloured raspberries! Raspberry Colour Trio brings together the rich sweetness of black, red and yellow fruit. Each variety offers its own unique flavour — from the deep, rich notes of the black, to the classic tang of the red, and the golden, honeyed taste of the yellow. Perfect for picking straight from the cane, scattering over desserts or making colourful homemade preserves, this trio adds beauty, variety and irresistible taste to any garden or allotment. Ultimate height: 150cm (59in). Ultimate spread: 50cm (20in).

Raspberry Colour Trio contains the following varieties:

  • Raspberry 'Polka'- One of the best autumn-fruiting raspberry introductions in recent years! Once established, each plant can produce up to 2.5kg of large, deep-red berries with a deliciously sweet flavour.
  • Raspberry ‘Black Polka’ - Glossy, dark purple fruits—almost black in colour—with a rich, sweet flavour and high nutritional value. A good candidate for double cropping.
  • Raspberry 'Iceni Gold' - A yellow-fruited variety offering larger berries and bigger yields than other yellow raspberries.
Black, red and yellow fruits each with its own unique flavour — from the deep, rich notes of the black, to the classic tang of the red, and the golden, honeyed taste of the yellow.

Grow raspberry plants in a sunny position in any well drained soil. Prior to planting, incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost into the soil. The stems of summer fruiting raspberries will require support. Before planting, prepare a framework of wires stretched horizontally between two sturdy 1.8m (6’) posts. Autumn fruiting varieties will not require supports.

Plant raspberry canes in a row against the wire supports, allowing a distance of 60cm (24”) between plants. Water well.

Summer fruiting raspberries fruit on the previous season’s growth. Leave unpruned after planting. This cane will go on to produce fruit next summer, at the same time, new shoots will grow from the roots. Once fruit has been picked the original cane should be removed and the new shoots left to grow to produce fruit the following year. Autumn fruiting canes should be pruned to 15cm (6”) above ground level immediately after planting to encourage more shoots to be produced.

Live Plants

Dobies strives to ensure that all its plants are delivered to you in the perfect condition for planting. While the majority of our nursery plants cope well with slight delays in intransit, sadly, the time it takes to deliver to certain locations in the UK means that we can't guarantee this for some of our smaller plug products and tender bedding and vegetable lines, which do not respond well to the extra journey time. So regretfully while we offer the majority of our live plant offering nationwide, we are unable to ship plugs, begging plants and tender vegetable plants to the following areas: HS, IV41-IV49, IV51, IV55-56, KW15-KW17, PA34, PA41-48, PA60-PA78, PA80, PH40-PH44, TR21-TR24, ZE1-ZE3.

Non Standard Deliveries

Unfortunately like many companies in our industry we are currently only able to supply orders to UK based customers, excluding those in Northern Ireland. We are committed to finding a way that we can resume or normal services again as soon as possible. Please accept our apologies for any inconvience caused.

Prices include VAT where applicable.

We reserve the right to contact you and advise an additional charge where necessary and are happy to quote for carriage of specific products to more remote areas. Some items may not be available to all areas.

We reserve the right to revise any carriage charges in the event of carrier price increase or other unforeseen circumstances. We will always advise of the carriage charge before payment is taken.

Large Non-standard items may incur a higher, lorry delivery charge. Charges will be calculated at checkout, but an example of the lorry charges are listed below.

  • Red - £9.99.
  • Purple - £2.99.
