How to grow herbs?
Liven up your favourite dishes with the fresh flavour of home grown herbs picked straight from your garden. This aromatic collection comprises of some of the most popular culinary herbs, so there is something to suit every style of cooking. Pot up herb plants and grow them on in frost free conditions. When plants are well grown and all risk of frost has passed, acclimatise plants to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days. The herbs in this collection will grow best in full sun on any well drained soil. Add plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost to the soil to improve its structure and fertility prior to planting. Mint can be extremely vigorous. Where space is limited, plant it in a container to restrict its spread. When growing herbs, ensure that they are planted within easy reach of the kitchen.
