Sweet and tender!
This latest variety of purple asparagus is significantly sweeter than even the sweetest green varieties. The spears have less fibre and are particularly tender with virtually no waste at the base. A very attractive addition to salads, retaining their attractive colour when steamed, particularly in the early part of the season. Expect the first spears to appear in late April. 12 crowns plants a row 4.5m (15') long.
