Try our Red, White and Black currant plant collection! It consists of 3
plants (1 of each variety): Blackcurrant Ben Sarek (picture 1) -
A superb variety producing mouthwatering fruit in abundance from mid
July-mid August well presented on short strigs. Ideal for smaller gardens,
with a maximum height of 90cm (3'), the bushy plants show good resistance
to mildew and frost. Ideal for freezing. Royal Horticultural Society
'Award of Garden Merit' winner; Redcurrant Rovada (picture 2) -
Extend the season with this latest ripening of all varieties. The
fruit is large and luscious, and is produced in profusion on huge
'strigs', from mid July and through August - producing up to 2.5kg (6 lb)
from a single mature plant in a season. Ideal for freezing. If you only
have room for one recdcurrant it has to be this one! & Whitecurrant
Blanka (picture 3) - In trials this whitecurrant was by far the
highest yielding (yet is ideal for small gardens), providing
up to 2kg (4½ lb) of fruit per plant in a season. The large,
flavour-packed berries are prodoced on long strigs from late July-August,
and are delicious fresh but also freeze well. A first-class variety -
highly recommended. All three varieties are grown from certified stock
supplied as 1 year old plants.
