Culture: Sow seed in March, treating the same as celery. Plant out in May, 30cm (12") apart, in rows 45cm (1½') apart. It is not necessary to plant in trenches. Harvest October-December.

Hints: Keep well watered throughout growing period. HEALTH BENEFITS: An excellent fat free source of dietary fibre. COOKING HINT: Wash and remove outer skin. Delcious as a salad when grated with a Dijon mustard mayonnaise, to make a kind of coleslaw, or tasty as a roast or boiled vegetable and in soups and stews. Tastes like a celery/parsley blend.
