Tutti-Frutti™ tomatoes produce masses of sweet fruit with delicate hints of cherry, mandarin, and grape. Ideal to grow as a cordon in a greenhouse, but also suitable to keep on a sunny patio, you'll keep everyone guessing at what they're actually eating! Then again a tomato is a fruit... The collection contains 3 plants - one plant each of F1 Grape, F1 Cherry, and F1 Mandarin,
F1 Grape - Big bunches of grape shaped tomatoes, up to 50 fruit per truss, with a sweet and fruity taste. Best grown in a greenhouse. Fruit size average 20g.
F1 Cherry - An intense red tomato that is bursting with sweetness, with a rich after-taste. Small-sized round fruits are produced in abundance. The taste performs the best when the fruits are fully ripe. Fruit size average 20g.
F1 Mandarin - A deep orange tomato with fruity sweetness, sufficient acidity and an orange scent which almost convinces you that you are eating a mandarin! Fruit size average 80g.
Pot up, and grow tomato plants on in warm frost free conditions until large enough to plant outdoors. When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days.
Choose a sheltered position in full sun on fertile, reliably moist, well drained soil, and transplant at a distance of 60cm (24") apart. Alternatively grow tomatoes in patio bags and containers in good quality compost such as John Innes No. 2. Drive a (5') cane into the soil adjacent to each plant to support them as they grow, and tie each main stem to its support with soft garden twine.
