Guarantee

We aim to supply plants and other goods of the highest quality, carefully packed to reach you in perfect condition. Should you be at all dissatisfied with their condition on arrival, please let us know within 14 days, and we'll arrange an appropriate replacement or refund. We are only liable for the cost of the goods (plus carriage) as quoted on the website.

Trading Terms

CARRIAGE CHARGE
Orders of Packet Seeds, Garlic, Onion Sets, Shallots and Mushrooms (except windowsill kits) incur a charge of £1.99.
Orders for all other products incur a carriage charge of £4.99.
Where an order includes both packet seed and other items, only the charge of £4.90 will apply.
Some very large items may not be available to all areas. We reserve the right to revise any carriage charges in the event of carrier price increases or other unforeseen circumstances. We will always advise of the carriage charge before payment is taken.

Northern Ireland, Channel Islands, Isle of Man & Isles of Scilly & areas of Scotland with postcodes starting AB30 plus HS, IV1 to IV40 plus KA27, KA28, KW1 to KW16, PA20 to PA38, PA38, PA41 to PA80, PH10 to PH40, PH42 to PH50 and ZE: For orders weighing less than 2kg standard carriage charge applies. Where the weight of the order is 2kg to 10kg the carriage charge is £9.99. Where the weight of the order is over 10kg the carriage charge is £14.99.

Republic of Ireland: for orders weighing less than 2kg the normal UK mainland carriage charge applies. Where the combined weight of the order is 2kg and above, the carriage contribution is £14.99. We reserve the right to contact you and advise an additional charge where necessary and are happy to quote for carriage of specific products to outlying areas. We reserve the right to revise any carriage charges in the event of carrier price increases or other unforeseen circumstances.

We will always advise of the carriage charge before payment is taken.

PRICES
Prices include VAT where applicable. We reserve the right to revise any prices in the event of unforeseen circumstances or a change in the VAT rate.

PAYMENT
We accept payment for online orders by Visa (including Visa Electron), Mastercard, Maestro (Switch) and Delta. Cards are debited when the order is first processed, in order to avoid issues where credit & debit cards may expire before the date of delivery, and to keep administration costs to a minimum. Should any item become unavailable we will issue a full refund.

DELIVERY
Orders are despatched promptly by post or parcel carrier, but please allow 7-10 days for delivery. Seasonal items such as plants are sent separately and specific delivery times are stated against each variety both in our catalogues and on our website. You will receive an order acknowledgement by post or email. Important information about the delivery of young plants can be seen here.

CONDITIONS OF SALE
All scheduled seeds offered by us are guaranteed to comply at the time of delivery with E.U. Seeds Regulations currently in force. Information given about products is to the best of our knowledge, and is for general guidance only. All dimensions and capacities are approximate. Also please remember that environmental factors can affect plant growth.

ALTERNATIVES
Occasionally, items become unobtainable due to crop failure, high demand or other reasons. In this event, we may send a carefully selected alternative or, if this is not possible, a credit for amounts under £1.00, for use against future purchases. Refunds are made for higher amounts, or in any case on request. Should our alternative not prove acceptable, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will forward a refund to cover the cost of the item not available.

ORDER QUERIES
An order acknowledgement will be enclosed with your order, or sent separately, depending on the product(s) ordered. In the event of a query it helps us if you can quote your Account Number as given on the acknowledgement. Please contact our Customer Services Department. Claims for goods lost or damaged in transit should be referred to us, not the carriers involved. Wherever possible we will promptly replace damaged items, or failing that provide an appropriate refund.

WASTE ELECTRICAL & ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT (WEEE) DIRECTIVE
Under these regulations we are obliged to offer our customers free take-back of their WEEE on a like-for-like basis when they buy a new electrical or electronic product from us. Such items can be returned to us (carriage paid by customer) at our normal address, within 28 days of purchasing the new item.  We will then ensure proper environmental disposal. Recycling reduces the environmental and health risks associated with sending electrical goods to landfill. All new electrical goods should be marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol and be disposed of separately from household waste.

COMPLAINTS
It is our aim to acknowledge complaints within 5 working days, and we will provide a likely timescale for resolving the dispute and keep you advised about progress.

CANCELLATION
If you wish to cancel an order, please contact our Customer Services Department. We reserve the right to cancel any order. If your order is for non-perishable goods, you have the right to cancel your order at any time up to 14 working days after receipt. You must take reasonable care of the goods whilst in your possession and they must be returned to us, promptly, at your costs. If the item is large, then we can arrange collection for you and will charge you for this at cost. Your statutory rights are not affected by any of these business terms.

ORDERS FROM OUTSIDE THE UK
We regret that we are unable to accept orders from customers for despatch outside the EU. We are able to despatch seeds only to customers in EU Countries - a carriage charge of £3.95 and a minimum order value of £5.00 applies. This includes orders for seeds and plants from the Republic of Ireland where we are also able to send smaller items of garden equiment at a carriage charge of £12.95.

Suttons Consumer Products are registered data users whose entries in the Data Protection Register contain descriptions of the sources, uses and disclosures of personal data held. Your statutory rights are not affected by any of these terms and conditions. 

We will hold your information for the purpose of administering your account and marketing. We may share the information within our group. If you do not wish to receive marketing information from Dobies or other Suttons Consumer Products Group brands, please advise us at the following address - Dobies , Long Road, Paignton, Devon TQ4 7SX or by email.

We collect information about you for 2 reasons: firstly, to process your order and secondly, to provide you with the best possible service. We may also use cookies to assemble your order, but they contain no personal information.

We will give you the chance to refuse any marketing email from us or from another trader in the future. The type of information we will collect about you includes:

We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent.

The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information that we hold about you by emailing us. If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly. The personal information which we hold will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy and the law.
