ROB SAYS - ‘Red King’ is a Royal whopper. Each plant only grows between 2-3 feet tall, but produces peppers of a kingly size of up to 5" wide and 7" long! Created with the help of 2 great heirloom peppers, ‘California Wonder’ and ‘King of the North’, this beauty starts off as a lovely green colour and ripens to that true, deep red, peppery colour. ‘Red King’ grows amazingly well in a cold greenhouse, even here in Yorkshire you’ll get a ‘right royal crop’! Each fruit will get sweeter and bigger as it ripens, making them perfect to stuff. Try filling with cous cous, bacon and tomato, then crack an egg on top and bake! This makes a super, light meal. Everyone uses pepper to eat their dips, why not turn things around and make ‘Red King’ the star. Try red pepper and walnut dip, stunning with crispy bread!" Please note: There is a possibility that your plant will include a grafting clip, if it does, this is an integral part of the grafting process and that it should be left in place. As the plant grows it will naturally shrug off the clip.
"I've decided to graft an exclusive range of fantastic vegetables. Not only are they great for the allotment, but for the garden and containers as well! Grafting means they'll produce up to 75% more produce and they're more resistant to disease. Try them in the ground or in containers on the patio for veg all summer long."
