Courgette Seeds - Cocozelle v. Tripolis

Cucurbita Pepo - Zucchini

“This variety is a beautiful old Italian variety of courgette. The plant grows as a bush, around 60cm (24”) tall and 90cm (36”) wide, ideal for smaller plots or even in a well watered container. Producing green/cream striped fruits in abundance, ‘Cocozelle’ will keep you in courgettes all summer long. The fruits are sweet and nutty, perfect for picking very young when around 5cm (2”) long and added whole to salads. Alternatively, leave them to grow to 18cm (7”) and use them as you like. ‘Cocozelle’ flowers are delicious stuffed and deep fried. A perfect Italian delicacy.“

Sow late March-mid May, either in 7cm (3") pots indoors for early sowings or direct outdoors for later crops into warm, moist, weed-free soil. Plant 60cm (2') apart. For maximum production of courgettes it is essential that all fruits of a culinary size are removed three times a week whether required or not. Harvest July-September.

Ideal for beds and borders, patio pots and containers. Prefers full sun or partial shade.
