Crops 30-36 weeks from sowing. Tasty autumn/winter/spring vegetable. For maincrops, sow on a finely raked ’seed bed’ outdoors early March-late April. For early crops, sow in frames or under cloches during February. Transplant to final growing positions at 60–90cm (2–3') apart in well-firmed soil May-early June. Harvest September-February.

HEALTH BENEFITS: Good source of vitamin C. COOKING HINTS: For fresh use or freezing. Try stir frying as an alternative to steaming/boiling.
