Seeds can be started off in trays indoors in March-April. Sow 1cm deep and keep moist until seedlings appear, usually 7-14 days. Plants can be transplanted once the risk of frost has passed, leaving 60cm (24") between plants and 60cm (24") between rows. Seeds can also be sown directly outside from May. Alternatively, sow the seeds at 10cm spacings for baby leaf production.
