Moorland Gold grow-bags are made from moorland peat, river sand, a very small quantity of perlite & vermiculite and an organic fertiliser which is made from organic cocoa shells and organic coconut husks to ensure a good, strong crop. 2 bags containing 30 litres of compost, they have good volume for root systems to develop and retain moisture well. We've tested them in our own gardens and have found plants require less extra feeding as the bags are so well stocked with nutrients! Width 36cm x Length 73cm.
Moorland Gold range of composts are unique, as they are made with a naturally occurring peat product which is collected through water filtration as a result of natural erosion with man playing no part in its formation. They are not extracted from peat bogs instead, every time it rains, particles of peat and leaf mould are naturally washed into streams and rivers, which in turn are deposited into lakes and dams. These particles are collected and processed to produce a fine, dark medium that has all the benefits of commercially dug peat.
Moorland Gold organic composts are made by blending the naturally occurring peat product with organic nutrients; they have a variety of uses, from general gardening to specialized growing mediums. These composts are rich in minerals and trace elements, which encourages the growth of strong and healthy plants, with the reduced need for additional feeding. No artificial ingredients are added, so you can be sure resulting plants will grow as nature intended.
Please Note: Grow-Bigs are not approved by the Soil Association due to standards in section 5 (crops must be grown in land/soil). The compost used in the grow-big is produced in exactly the same way and is of the same standard and quality as the rest of the Moorland Gold composts.
