Grow pound after pound of mouth watering new potatoes on your very own doorstep with our special Potato Starter Kit. The kit comprises three sturdy Potato Buckets and three specially selected varieties of potato tubers ideal for growing in them. So you can look forward to a bumper harvest in the smallest of places from as early as June onwards. All you need to do is provide the compost. Potato Buckets - Grow a bumper crop of potatoes - even on a patio! Potato Buckets are the perfect size, shape and colour (absorbing the sun's heat) to quickly produce a really heavy crop. Plant 3 tubers in a part filled pot and keep topping up the compost as they grow, then simply tip them out when they are ready. Great for growing runner beans and tomatoes too. Height 40cm (15¾"); diameter 40cm (15¾"). Approximate capacity 40 litres. Plus 5 tubers each of: Red Duke Of York (1st Early) - This heritage variety is one of the few red skinned earlies. Has a fine flavour and bakes and chips well; Vivaldi (2nd Early) - A highly sought-after variety, widely appreciated for its taste and texture. Produces high yields of attractive potatoes that are lower in carbohydrates and calories than other varieties, making it ideal for slimmers!; Charlotte (Salad) - Classic salad potato against which others are judged! Matures as a latish first early, producing good numbers of medium sized oval tubers with a very fine flavour. Very waxy when young and perfect hot or cold. Good blight and scab resistance.
