So deeply and tightly curled are the dark green leaves, this variety can almost be classed as an attractive ornamental plant. Compact habit, excellent for smaller gardens or pot growing. CULTURE: Sow in March for summer use, and June to provide fresh young growth for the winter. Sow in drills 1.25cm (½") deep and 15cm (6") apart. Thin out to 15cm (6") apart. Can also be sown under glass February-March and plants set out April-May. Row 7.5cm (25').
