CULTURE: Sow during February and March in a temperature of 16-18°C (60-65°F). Grow in pots or growbags under glass or in a warm, sunny place outdoors. Harvest August-October.
HINTS: Grow like tomatoes - use Tomato liquid feed. Eat within 2-3 days of picking. HEALTH BENEFITS: Contains Vitamin E (Antioxidant important for anti-ageing [particularly for skin]), and K (Important for healthy blood and bones). High in potassium, folate, magnesium and fibre. COOKING HINTS: Slice, salt to remove bitter juices and soften. Rinse dry, coat with flour and fry or use in Ratatouille/Moussaka.
