Foxglove Candy Mountain
Foxglove Candy Mountain is the first upward-facing foxglove grown from seed, and you can grow your own at home! This unique variety with unusual characteristics allows you, and other pollinating insects, to look inside the magnificent rose-pink blooms and view their exquisite freckled throats, which smother all the way around the stems with their fabulous blooms.
Candy Mountain is perfect for planting in drifts, creating a colourful floral display towards the middle or back of your perennial or cottage garden borders. Not only do these bring a splash of long-lasting, vibrant colour, but they also add interest, height and structure to your outdoor space. Height: 140cm (56"). Spread: 45cm (18").
Pot up digitalis plants and grow them on in frost free conditions for transplanting outdoors later on. When plants are well-grown and all risk of frost has passed, acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days, before planting them in borders and containers in sun or partial shade. Although foxgloves prefer a fertile, moist soil, they will happily tolerate almost any soil except those that are excessively dry or waterlogged.
