This thornless blackberry has established itself as the most popular in the UK with commercial growers. It is high yielding (up to 3.6kg [8 lb] per bush) producing large, very firm, glossy black conical berries from mid-August until first frosts. The flavour is excellent. Produces short, upright canes - ideal for the smaller garden. Planting distance 1.5-2m (5-6½'). Royal Horticultural Society 'Award of Garden Merit' winner. Recommended for deep freezing.
