A large, tasty beefsteak tomato, ideal for slicing, which crops early under glass. A potential exhibition variety too - for the largest fruits restrict to 3-4 tomatoes per truss.
(Cordon variety - One stem grown by pinching off side-shoots as they appear, needs staking and tying in.)
To produce really large, well-shaped tomatoes, remove surplus flowers, or poor-shaped fruits every 10 days to restrict production to 3-4 fruits per truss. Sow mid February-April, harvest July-October.
Recommended to produce large thick slices for sandwiches, frying and grilling. Whole fruits can be stuffed with a variety of tasty savouries.
