Tasty, exotic radish British bred version of the ‘Chinese’ radish. You can grow these tasty roots up to tennis ball size and leave in the ground until required. (Roots can grow up to 450gms [1lb] each). The attractive, sweet red flesh has a peppery, nutty taste and is ideal for use in winter salads and stir-fries. (Winter variety) Culture: Crops just 5-8 weeks from sowing. Sow thinly, 1cm (½”) deep in grooves drawn 15cm (6”) apart. Make first sowings in March, in a warm, sheltered position, followed by others at regular intervals, to ensure a constant supply of firm, mildly flavoured roots during spring and summer. Row length per pack: 6m (20’).
