A tasty, vigorous, mildew resistant lettuce with unique endive-like leaves but no bitter taste. Sow outdoors until July, or sow later to over winter under glass. Loose leaf 'picking' lettuce. David's Choice - 'Unique endive-like leaves - very tasty.'
Culture: Sow outdoors from January-July at fortnightly intervals to ensure a regular supply. Sow in rows 30cm (1') apart and 1.25cm (½") deep and thin the plants to 23-30cm (9-12") apart. For over-wintered lettuce sow seed outdoors late August-early September. For growing in a greenhouse during winter choose the varieties 'Rosetta' or 'Cancan'. Row 15m (50') except where stated.

Beautifully curled, fringed foliage with tasty leaves that can be pulled for use as required without lifting the whole plant. Slow to run to seed. Reputed to have a sedative effect.
