Sow in drills 45cm (1½') apart from late May to July directly into soil, harvest mid August-October. Thin out to 20cm (8") apart and earth up to blanch the 'bulbs'. Row 9m (30'). Keep well watered.

HEALTH BENEFITS: Rich in potassium and folic acid. COOKING HINTS: Aniseed taste. Use raw in salads or boiled. The young seedlings make a pungent salad similar to mustard. Love the taste of sweet aniseed flavour when raw or cooked or on the BBQ.
